Lana Del Rey just blessed us with new music

I don’t know about you, but this week has felt particularly draining. As the pandemic heads towards second and third peaks across the world and an increasing number of cities go into local lockdowns, we’re all in need of comfort. So when Lana Del Rey turns up with a new track, singing about how she wants to escape the city with us, wants to love us and hold us like a baby… well, it makes everything seem alright, doesn’t it? “Let Me Love You Like a Woman” was produced with Lana’s good pal Jack Antonoff and is her first release since her Grammy-nominated album Norman F**king Rockwell over a year ago. For old times’ sake, Lana’s gone and done a homemade music video too, due to surface later today.

After that soothing playlist opener, we’re thrilled to let you know that King Princess is wearing a chain, tank top and KP-branded pants (which you can buy) as she performs for a crying avatar of herself in the video for “Only Time Makes It Human”. The new project was directed by KP’s talented girlfriend Quinn Wilson, who also happens to be Lizzo’s creative director, and realised by 3D artist Pastelae. Next we come to a new track from James Blake called “Before” which, interestingly, Jameela Jamil has a production credit on… answers on a postcard re. her contribution please.

Of course, we already told you all about Beabadoobee’s debut album, or rather Bea did in her own words: “My whole life, I’ve always acted so happy all the time. There’s the bubbly Bea everyone sees, but there’s so much that I’ve experienced in so little time, and it’s affected me a lot.” Fake It Flowers documents that. Lous and the Yakuza’s debut album, Gore, is out today too. The Belgian artist filled us in on that and her career so far in i-D’s Fall Issue.

Delve a little deeper into our playlist and you’ll find incredible new music from cupcakKe, MONEYPHONE, Emma-Jean Thackray, Junglepussy, Travis Scott x Yung Thug x M.I.A., Post Animal, Manga Saint Hilare and more. You’re welcome.
