In the list of indisputable facts of life (prices will rise, politicians will philander, etc), I propose an addition: Rihanna will continue to tease the world about her new music, and we will continue to wait patiently for the day she finally blesses us with that album.
In a recent interview the Fenty mogul dropped more delicious clues about her long-awaited follow up to 2016’s Anti, and promised the fabled release will be “worth it” when it does finally drop. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Ri said she’s always squirrelling away on new tracks, we just don’t get to hear them yet.
“I am always working on music,” she said. “And when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out. And you’re not gonna be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.”
Honestly, we believe it. In the nearly five years since the release of Anti, Miss Fenty has certainly been busy, expanding her fashion and beauty empire and also developing her acting career. But she’s also been badgered by stans near-constantly to drop the album, something she tells Entertainment Tonight she’s acutely aware of. “I’m not going to put it out just because people are waiting,” Rihanna told the publication. “It’s taken this long, I’m gonna make it worth it.”
Well, that’s us told.
