Photographer Jamie Morgan is currently in lockdown in north London with his wife and seven-year-old son. All his shoots have been cancelled or postponed indefinitely and, although it’s a privilege to be able to spend more time with his family, it’s also been defined by what he describes as “homeschooling hell”. His lockdown project, Blood, a black-and-white series of portraits of his son Milo have been shot between these more tense moments. “I chose to shoot what’s right in front of me and close to my heart — hence the name ‘Blood’ — with these double exposures of Milo, taken in our immediate surroundings,” he says.

He’s also been working on a YouTube channel called ‘Milo’s Corona Cage Diaries’ and some very personal writing and films that he hopes to publish at some point in the future. “So far I’m enjoying the space to play with stuff. I’m creating, eating, exercising, and remaining grateful for all I have, as many people are in much much worse situations.” The first thing he’ll do on the other side of this? “Hug all my friends!”
