Brilliant band MUNA are also brilliant at chatting shit on the well-named Gayotic (both gay and chaotic, get it?) which has just returned for a second season. Watch… Beau is Afraid

Ari Aster follows up his one-two-hit of horrors, Hereditary and Midsommar, with a movie that resembles a stress dream. Following a man on an odyssey across a messed up America to reach his mother, Beau is Afraid spends every second of its three-hour runtime doing weird things to your head. Already a hit in the States, it hits UK cinemas on 19 May.

    Read… Close to Home

Described as a “genuinely necessary book” by the Guardian, Michael Magee’s story follows a lost, working class man in his early 20s as he navigates a society that seems stacked against him. Now available in the UK and US, you can buy it here, or grab it via audiobook here.

    Eat at… Rambutan’s Caravel takeover

Fine dining Londoners, your attention please! A couple of months back, we broke the news that Caravel – yes, that perennially booked-up restaurant stationed in the bowels of a barge on the Regent’s Canal – had announced a series of ‘Family Dinners’; intimate meals whipped up by guest chefs from some of the city’s most exciting places to eat. Not factoring in quite how popular the previous iterations of the series would be, by the time we told you all about these stunning dinners, the tickets were gone! Well, for the final chapter of ‘Family Dinners’, we’re giving you an ample head’s up. Just under a month from today on 13 June,  British born Sri Lankan chef Cynthia Shanmugalingam – founder of cultish London Bridge locale Rambutan – will be bringing the very best of Northern Sri Lanka to the Caravel barge, with a summery menu brimming with coconut, lush vegetables and freshly caught fish (no, don’t worry, not from the canal). Head here – like, now – to get your ticket for the final instalment of the dinner series of the season! MS
