Which music video had the best styling over the past year?

    We'll be the judge.

Which music vid has the best looks over the last year? Every single outfit in Bey and Jay’s latest artwork Apeshit? Cardi B’s 90s throwback in Finesse? Janelle Monae’s vagina pants? It’s a tough call, but someone has to make it. So we will — for the annual UK Music Video Awards.

In i-D’s ongoing partnership with the MVA’s we’re judging the Best Styling in video. This will be the fifth time we’ve dished out the prize, which in the past has gone to: Juliette Alleaume for The Blaze’s Territory (2017); Marni Senofonte for Beyoncé’s Formation (2016); Mel Ottenberg for Rihanna’s Bitch Better Have My Money (2015); and Nicola Formichetti for Brooke Candy’s Opulence.

Want to join these esteemed ranks? If you’ve been a stylist on a music video delivered between 1 August 2017 and 31 July 2018, you can. That’s any stylist — as the website states, “the award is open to hair, make-up and/or wardrobe stylists and will be made to the stylist(s) responsible for the video”. You’ll be judged on artistic merit, quality of execution and creative contribution of the styling to the final video.

Go on then. Give it a shot. We’re ready for you.
