It was announced that it was all change over at NYFW, and that the shows in the Big Apple were to depart from their home in the Lincoln Centre after February. They are slated to show across four new spaces that are to be announced next year. The CFDA also announced that they were looking into a dedicated week for menswear.

Gareth Pugh, having jumped across the pond and shown at NYFW in September, announced his return to London to celebrate 10 years of the brand. “London is where everything began for me”, the designer added, who has been showing in Paris for the majority of his shows.

There were, however, unsettling rumours over at Meadham Kirchhoff, following news that the designers were struggling financially to maintain their label. In spite of this, the duo remains on the schedule for AW/15. There were rumours too over at Carven, with Alexia Martial tipped to be taking the vacant seat.

Fashion’s obsession with celebrity also continued – following the news that Rihanna was to be Puma’s new creative director and ambassador in a “multi-year partnership”, Kimye continued to break the internet, when they were revealed as the faces of Olivier Rousteing’s latest Balmain campaign.

Fashion Scout unveiled the winner of its Merit Award. James Kelly, graduate of the RCA was crowned, and will show next season. Its Ones to Watch designers were also named, with Angel Chen, J Moon, Minju Kim and Kim Stevenson showing as part of the initiative.

2014 was a year of major moves and new starts. With 2015 kicking straight off with London Collections: Men, next year will see just how those moves play out.
