Kendall Jenner walks for Marc, DVF celebrates the wrap dress and Jeremy Scott shows first Moschino collection.

New York Fashion Week saw the arrival of a certain Kendal Jenner on Marc Jacob’s cloud-covered catwalk. But Jenner was nowhere to be seen on New York fashion doyenne Diane Von Furstenberg’s runway, who celebrated her 40th anniversary this year. The collection, in true DVF style, was titled Bohemian Wrapsody, a psychedelic pun on the brand’s wrap-dress DNA.

The last group of post-grads to pass under the watchful eyes of Professor Louise Wilson at Central Saint Martins put on their MA shows. Michael Power and Ondrej Adamek were crowned this year’s favourites by Christopher Kane, who later showed a collection featuring geometric cut-outs based on “sterilised petals”.

Also crammed into the Feb-frenzy was Milan Fashion Week. Jeremy Scott’s Moschino show played with the house’s iconic branding. On the other hand, Prada continued to wave the Italian flag high, with a collection that continued to champion the house’s ugly-pretty aesthetic. There were more celebrations in Milan, following the announcement that LVMH had taken a 45% stake in Italian label Marco de Vincenzo

Some key collaborations were also introduced to us, with Katie Eary x River Island, Simone Rocha x J. Brand and Richard Nicoll x Jack Wills all grabbing headlines. Also popping up, was Topshop on America’s Fifth Avenue – and iconic English photographer David Bailey’s Stardust exhibition opening at London’s National Portrait Gallery.
