CicLAvia
Inspired by the ciclovía events that started 40 years ago in Bogotá, Colombia as a response to car congestion and pollution, the inaugural US CicLAvia went down in October of 2010 to allow the Los Angeles biking community the chance to experience the city without its signature road rage inducing traffic. The first CicLAvia of 2015 will take place this weekend in the San Fernando Valley, aka “The Valley,” aka the home of Boogie Nights, Pulp Fiction and Magnolia, shutting down 5.5 miles of this iconic stretch to cars and opening it up to foot, pedal, and non-motorized wheel power.
Sunday, March 22 at 9AM – 4PM, The Valley
