Burger Records
If you’re unacquainted with California label Burger Records, then how about this endorsement: Hedi Slimane is a big fan. Like, such a big fan that he photographs their West Coast shows and plucked one of their acts, The Garden, from a showcase and flew them to Paris to walk for Saint Laurent. Any chance to catch Burger on our coast and discover who they’re repping now is one you take. On Wednesday, they’ll feature power-popper Michael Rault with his retro rock roots, the psychedelic Warbly Jets, lo-fi garage rockers Step-Panther, and Australian party band Gooch Palms.
Wednesday, October 14 at 12PM, at Baby’s All Right, 146 Broadway, Brooklyn.

Georgia and Ezra Furman
A double bill of Georgia and Ezra Furman promises something rare in music today: a night of inspired sounds, words and looks that we’ve never experienced before. Both acts push the envelope with genre and performance, and the outcome is truly unique. Ezra‘s brash and nimble rock incorporates his feelings about his Jewish faith while he’s dressed in women’s clothes. And Georgia‘s rap-pop seamlessly darts from 90s electronica to something more exotic with instruments from Burma and Africa. They’ll be joined by Shopping, the Hooton Tennis Club, and more.
Thursday, October 15 at 12:30PM, at Rough Trade, 64 North 9th Street, Brooklyn.

Cymbal x Terrible Records
The artist roster at Terrible Records is eclectic. What unites its diverse acts, past and present – Blood Orange, Solange, Grizzly Bear – is untouchable cool factor. So trust that the label’s showcase with music discovery app Cymbal FM will feature a group of people that both look and sound sick. Like the ethereal, Norwegian-born OKAY KAYA with her melodic musings; the high-energy hip-hop breakout Le1f, who’s inspired by riot grrl and black fashion icons; the trippy-pretty Empress Of and her P.J. Harvey-meets-Björk stylings; and experimental pop group Porches.
Friday, October 16 at 5:20PM, at Cameo Gallery, 93 North 6th Street, Brooklyn.

Kitsuné
Known for its expertly curated compilation tapes, Kitsuné always seems to know what’s next in music. Friday, they’ll take over at Elvis Guesthouse to share who they’re psyched about now. We’re looking forward to Beau, the NYC duo of Heather Boo and Emma Rose. The raw yet lovely act has been winning over fans since Kitsuné released their debut EP back in May. Beau will be joined by worldly dance duo Sofi Tukker and the quietly stirring Sorcha Richardson, among others.
Friday, October 16 at 11PM, at Elvis Guesthouse, 85 Avenue A.

The Prettiots
Outside-of-the-box music agency Atypical Beasts and Audiofemme, a site dedicated to women writing about music, have put together a lineup to introduce us to new, exciting acts. We’re pumped to see one of our favorite groups The Prettiots, a cool-girl trio that blends punk roots with sweet, playful sounds. The New York-based band will be joined by pop singer-songwriter Lena Fayre, psych-pop multi-instrumentalist T0W3RS, and Brooklyn indie outfit Beverly, with Frankie Rose formerly of Dum Dum Girls and Crystal Stilts.
Saturday, October 17 at 6:30PM, at Cameo Gallery, 93 North 6th Street, Brooklyn.
