5 things you need to know about dkny fall/winter 15

The i-D team's cheat sheet to all things DKNY fall/winter 15, from sports socks to baby hair.

    1. His ‘n’ hers socks
Shout out to stylist Jay Massacret for the cute sock situation. All the girls wore white DKNY sports socks today. They popped up under black lace-up wedges, chunky Mary Janes, and, most adorably, simple black oxfords. We spied a similar set-up at the men’s show on Wednesday, where the boys wore Thrasher socks with their lace-ups.

    2. Next-gen kiss curls
The hair, by Eugene Souleiman, was a highlight of the show. While a lot of the dos, like Sam Rollinson’s choppy bob, came messy and matted (IDGAF hair is an fall/winter 15 trend, we’re calling it), it was the little strands of slicked-down baby hair that stood out. They were a different breed altogether from the elaborate kiss curls of Twigs — shorter, scruffier, and very 2015.

    3. Bling
Panels of primary colors and blocks of stark black and white defined most of the looks today. But there was no shortage of texture thanks to swathes of brightly colored jewels which jazzed up blazer lapels, shirt fronts, and coat sleeves. Magic.

    4. Turtlenecks
Thank you, Donna for the bumper crop of turtlenecks you sent out. We thank you now, in this -15 degree celsius weather, and we will be thanking you again next winter.

    5. DKNY loves NY!
A giant screen at the back of the runway (like a fashion jumbotron) displayed real-time tweets about New York. The models walked against a backdrop of quotes praising the only city where “you can order pizza at 3am.”
