Having announced in March that he was already working on Reverie, a follow up to last year’s critically acclaimed LP Mutant, Björk collaborator Arca dropped the first slice of new music from the upcoming record today — the track “Sin Rumbo,” which arrives with a haunting new video.
Directed by his longtime collaborator Jesse Kanda, “Sin Rumbo” finds the Venezuela-born, London-based producer in excellent form, singing a beautiful, Spanish ballad, whilst Kanda’s camera zooms in on his battered face in chiaroscuro close up, capturing with painterly delicacy and vivid intensity the purples and yellows of the bruises.
