The new week is here and with it comes the chance to delve deep into some fresh culture and fashion. Here’s your latest look at the i-D Guide.

    Wear… Kye Intimates

Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand Kye Intimates was founded nearly six years ago by Bonita Ky, with the aim of creating soft, sensual undergarments for the everyday with deadstock and renewable materials. In the years since, the label’s launched minimalist swimwear, mesh slip dresses and, now, ultra-soft lounge pieces like the recline shell and pants. Wear these at home over the holidays and you’ll be set.

Read… the new issue of Hot and Cool

Hot and Cool is back and issue 14 contains three fashion stories that revolve around unsung heroes of modern clothing: Marks and Spencer’s St Michael by Alasdair McLellan and Alice Goddard, Timney Fowler by Theo Sion and Max Pearmain, and Casette Playa by Johnny Dufort and Alice Goddard. Buy it from Antenne Books here.

    Listen to… Natalie Red

We love a new pop girlie over here, and we’re delighted to announce that 2023 has given us yet another great one. Born in Estonia but raised in Finland (Scandinavian pop klaxon!), Natalie Red is mixing a cauldron of influences — among them The Neptunes, PinkPantheress and Ariana – into a catchy blend of electropop. Her new track “OVER” is streamable above. Follow her IG here.

    Watch… The Iron Claw

A24’s final film of 2023 is one of their very best: Sean Durkin’s illuminating and devastating biopic of the Von Erich clan, widely seen as wrestling’s First Family. Zac Efron stars as the family’s eldest brother: a man on his way to the top of the wrestling leagues, bringing his younger brothers (played by Harris Dickinson and Jeremy Allen White) with him. Sean had to dull the reality of what happened to make the film believable — that’s how depressing this true life tale really is. Happy Christmas! The Iron Claw is in US theatres from 22 December and arrives in the UK on 9 February 2024.

Go to… Dion ‘Tygapaw’ Mckenzie at Art Omi

New Yorkers! Whether you’re based in the city or just visiting, you should leave. No, not forever, just for a little day trip to Ghent, NY, a quaint town in the Hudson Valley that houses the prestigious art institution Art Omi. Now’s a better time than ever to visit. Why? Because, while there, you’ll be able to experience 3WI, an incredible solo exhibition by Jamaica-born, New York-based electronic music producer and artist Dion ‘Tygapaw’ McKenzie. Combining video, sound and performance, the show’s titular acronym stands for “Third World Immigrant”, a phrase Dion “adopted to describe their experience of immigrating from Jamaica to the United States”. Get yourself there before 17 February 2024 to check it out.
