A Lanvin exhibition has just opened at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, showing candid images that capture the spirit of the French house. In Alber Elbaz/Lanvin Manifesto, you can see the house’s artistic director working in the studio, the design team figuring out technical issues and the drama of the runway.
The 350 behind-the-scenes reportage shots and video footage of the shows are as close as you’re going to get to Lanvin reality TV. The exhibition is an “attempt to see the workings of the dream machine of Alber Elbaz” and is a contemporary follow-on from the hugely popular Jeanne Lanvin retrospective at the Palais Gailliera in Paris last year.
Alber Elbaz/Lanvin Manifesto runs until 31st October.
