The Alexander McQueen SS15 campaign has been unveiled, starring German model Karolin Wolter. Photographer David Sims plays with delicate light, shade and crash mats to create several soft yet powerful images for the Japanese kimono-inspired collection.
McQueen’s creative director Sarah Burton debuts a gentle palette of geisha and blossom pink, black and bone with kite prints and hand-painted petals, mixed with a heavy duty Samurai influence.
With piercing blue eyes, a sharply feminine face and Jean Harlow eyebrows, Wolter is the ideal balance of grace and strength in the theatrical campaign – McQueen’s very own geisha/warrior.
