New York designer Alexander Wang loves a meme. His Instagram account is a shrine to such internet gold as the tiny kid who can dance really well to Push It by O.T. Genasis, Spongebob memes about getting really drunk with your mates, and that time Rihanna pranked Jimmy Kimmel by waking him up at 2am in his bedroom with a rendition of Bitch Better Have My Money, complete with backing dancers and a full light show.
With the advent of fashion week, however, the meme content has come a little (a lot) closer to home. A few hours after Philipp Plein’s debut New York Fashion Week show (which, FYI, starred hot felon Jeremy Meeks), Wang posted a version of the ‘Can I copy your homework?‘ meme, comparing the Plein Sport autumn/winter 17 show with his own 2014 Alexander Wang x H&M catwalk extravaganza, captioned with a scratching chin emoji.
