Entertainment conglomerate WME-IMG, who, you might have guessed, own IMG, have announced a new network completely and utterly devoted to fashion. Made2Measure is the first of its kind, and launched today on Apple TV. As well as acquiring films and documentaries including Valentino: The Last Emperor, Who Are You, Polly Magoo? and the Tom Ford directed (and very aesthetically pleasing), A Single Man, the channel will run original content, series, documentaries and runway shows.
According to Business of Fashion, some of the original content includes talk show Tea at the Beatrice, where Glenn O’brien (former member of Andy Warhol’s factory) interviews people like Gisele and Richard Prince; Iconic, which profiles industry insiders and brands including Balenciaga; Visionaries – a docu-series that follows design-tech geniuses like Daniel Arsham and Virgil Abloh; and Battle of Versailles, which is a long-form documentary on the famous 1973 fashion show that saw French designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Hubert de Givenchy go head-to-head with American designers the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Halston and Bill Blass (the Americans won).
