Hood By Air designer Shayne Oliver has teamed up with Venezuelan producer Arca for a collaborative music project called Wench. The fashion label premiered their musical work, called Galvanise, alongside a Jesse Kanda-directed video at the Hood By Air spring/summer 16 show in New York a few hours ago.

Oliver’s diverse casting of models in deconstructed shirting, denim, leather and club kid sportswear was complemented by slowed down and distorted versions of pop tracks by Cher, t.A.T.u and Fatboy Slim, as well as Shayne Oliver rapping, with Jesse Kanda’s visuals of a bridge exploding into flames, buildings being demolished and flocks of birds streaming from the sides of a lorry.

Shayne Oliver and Arca are close friends who have collaborated on show music before, but the Wench project represents a more formalised musical partnership with an album release expected in 2016. Arca’s second full length album, Mutant, is slate for release later this year.
