In a sign of the show’s increasingly pulling power, the seventh season will include guest judges actress Jessica Alba, pop starlet Ariana Grande, the megagob former Spice Girl and, perhaps most deliciously of all, the high priest of trash culture John Waters. There will also be guest spots from Olivia Newton John, Jordin Sparks and Demi Lovato.
A new promo for the show unveiled today sees RuPaul promise a moreish kind of deal for anyone already au fait with Drag Race goings on. She says it will be more “gaggedy than ever” as words like gaggier, cockier, realer and huntyer appear across the screen amid sneak peaks of this year’s motley crew of drag contestants.
Two new full time judges are also added: Carson Keeley, formerly of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and American red carpet correspondent, Ross Mathews.
Later than advertised (it was initially pegged for January), the gay network LogoTV will air Drag Race 7 from 2nd March in the US. No word yet on when Netflix, the show’s usual UK home, might release the episodes online.
