Today at the Nickerson Garden Project basketball courts in LA, Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) will be getting in the holiday spirit, hosting a concert and giveaway in support of the communities that have nurtured and raised them over the years. As a way of thanking family, friends, and neighbours, TDE will be donating toys, shoes and more, plus putting on a free concert “with all of your favorite TDE artists!” So if you’re lucky, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Schoolboy Q and co will be in show. The label want to spread peace and love during the holiday season and their Santa will be dishing out prezzies to kids who may not otherwise receive them.”Being one of those young boys raised in the Nickerson Gardens projects I felt it’s my duty to bring the show back home,” says Top Dawg’s CEO. “Rather than just giving gifts for the holidays, I also wanted to bring something different and unique to my community.” It’s part of their wider charity program, TDE Youth Foundation, which brings the team together in an effort to continue to give something back to the local community.
