This week sees men’s fashion weeks begin to rollout across the globe and with them bring on one of the busiest periods of work for male models. With that in mind we asked some of Australia’s breakout male talents for their modelling insights, ranging from how they got started to how the Australian scene compares to the rest of the world.
Luca
“It’s kinda all the same right? Just in a different place.”
Cal
“I actually got discovered when I was working front of house at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia back in 2016. I bumped into an IMG manger and it all started from there.”
Yohanis
“Sydney is definitely a lot less hectic than London and Milan, that’s the biggest difference between Australia and working internationally. It’s cool working here because I’m with friends.”
Konker
“The highlight of modelling is the feeling during the 60 seconds when it’s your turn to walk. And also meeting people and making new relationships. I don’t have many lows but if I had to choose I would probably say the early mornings.”
