After a sell-out event in February, Anime Con returned to London last weekend, bringing over 2,000 anime lovers, gaming geeks and cosplay creations to the capital.
The guests of honour included voice actor Mike Pollock, who lends his vocals to Doctor Eggman in Sonic the Hedgehog, several Pokémon characters and loads more, and Ani-Mia, an international star of Cosplay, a gaming subculture where fans painstakingly recreate costumes from their favourite games, films or comics and role play while wearing them.
On Saturday, London Anime Con held a Harajuku Fashion Show, named after the district in Tokyo that is known for youth culture and extreme street style. i-D went backstage to capture some of the fantastical transformations.
