What do you do?
I work as second in charge to my manager at Incu. I’m also a film-maker, so I’m always moving between fashion and film.
What are you wearing today?
I’m actually wearing a Number 6 dress, which is a New York store, they’re on the Lower East Side and Birkenstock shoes because it’s very hot. That’s all! It’s too hot to wear anything else.
Who’s style inspires you?
Because I’m French, I’m very inspired by Carolin Demagler, who used to be a model and she now runs a record label with her husband. I think I’m inspired by women who have this intelligence and refinement.
What has working in retail over the year taught you?
Patience, but also I think when you work in an area like this theres a sense of community you wouldn’t find elsewhere. So I’ve learned a lot about those things and what community means because there’s so many people around here from different backgrounds and different experiences. I think you not only become an assistant to people when they come into a store but you also become their psychologist and stylist – it’s great.
What are you most excited for in 2016?
Still being alive, social and safe! Yeah, seeing what’s going to happen next for a lot of people.
Summer trend prediction?
Hoop rings are going crazy! And I’d say like Jane Birkin dresses for girls, kind of short and trapeze cuts, and bangs.
What designers do you look up to the most?
Jean Touitou from APC, and I love the guys from Acne. I’m actually really into this girl who is really small and up and coming called Jesse Kamm. She represents that sort of sustainable design – everything handmade out her house in California.
