    bikini kill are reissuing ‘revolution girl style now’ with three new songs

    The Riot Grrrl pioneers are re-releasing their 1991 demo tape with three never heard before tracks.

    was the first work released by fierce feminists Bikini Kill. When it was released back in 91, the only way you could hear the Riot Grrrl band’s radical lyrics was on cassette, but on September 22, the demo is being re-released on vinyl, CD and digitally for the first time on the group’s own label Bikini Kill Records. The record will also feature three previously unreleased songs in addition to its already impressive roster; , Just Once and Playground. Leaders of the third wave feminist revolution (girl style, now!), Kathleen Hanna, Billy Karren, Kathi Wilcox and Tobi Vail paved the way for a the fourth wave of punk girl bands today (think Skinny Girl Diet and Cherry Glazerr).
