The nominations for the 17th Annual Moet British Independent Film Awards were announced yesterday. With over 250 films submitted, the BIFA had a tougher job than usual deciding on the final selection, with founder Elliot Grove commenting, “The breadth and quality of the British films selected this year suggests a bumper year for British films.” The best news? Two long-time friends of i-D are up for awards; Jack O’Connell for Best Actor in ’71, and Cara Delevingne for Most Promising Newcomer in The Face Of An Angel. Winners will be announced at the event on 7th December in London.
