The future's bright, so wear sunglasses.

Cara Delevingne is the latest face of Chanel eyewear, proving once more, the conditions of her modeling retirement are very flexible (and for Karl Lagerfeld, there are no conditions at all). The longtime collaborators and friends have come through with an icy hot eyewear campaign.

The iconic house has really been bringing it on the glasses front lately, thanks to some particularly inspired casting choices. We loved seeing Kristen Stewart front the spring/summer 15 campaign with a Super8 camera in hand. More recently, selecting Lily-Rose Depp as the face of its Pearl Eyewear collection proved Chanel could more than keep up with cool.

The star of the spring/summer 16 campaign — besides Cara — is a pair of blue chrome glasses. The silhouette suggests they’re the aviators of the artificial intelligence age, and they’re chic enough to make sci-fi sophisticated. You likely saw them last year in Chanel’s airport-inspired spring/summer 16 show, where they shone just as bright.

Karl even created his incredibly soothing video of the glasses being made in what appears to be a Bond villain’s lair. Seriously — whose office is that perfect?
