Ever since Chance the Rapper hinted at a possible collab with Kanye a couple of months ago, we’ve been waiting patiently for the next update. Now, we’ve got it. In a recent interview, Chance revealed that the album has at least two songs in the can.
“It’s definitely far from done,” Chance said. “It’s something that comes up in conversation every once in a while…we definitely have at least two songs I could say I know would be on Good Ass Job.” The rapper also spoke about his long-time admiration of Kanye, explaining the album is “something that’s just been a dream.”
“I’m a Chicago kid, so I’m a super Ye fan, and I used to watch all the YouTube videos of him speaking,” Chance said. He also shed some light on where the album name for Good Ass Job comes from, saying “you know how you have your College Dropout, and then you go back you have your Late Registration, and then you finally get your Graduation. And after you graduate, you gotta go get a Good Ass Job.”
When asked about the Kanye-Drake collaboration, Chance said “I know Ye’s working on something with Drake, which I haven’t heard any of the songs from yet but I’m sure it’s going to be all I’m listening to.” You and us both, Chance.
