Chicago rapper Dreezy released her debut major label album No Hard Feelings last month, leaving a string of ultra-fresh music videos in her wake. Our favourite so far —We Gon Ride — landed this week, with a feature from none-other than the king of Atlanta, Gucci Mane. Lyrically, Dreezy and Gucci have never been sharper, shouting out their day ones as they shop for Rollexes and ride through the city.
From the looks of things, Dreezy’s on the up and up with no end in sight. Back in 2014, her viral Chiraq remix put her on the radar of Interscope, who signed her almost straight away. Fast forward two years, she now counts Gucci, T-Pain, Jeremih and DeJ Loaf as collaborators. Given she’s cited fashion as some of her key inspiration — namely, Chanel and Dior — here’s hoping her next collaboration heads in that direction.
