Cindy Crawford aka Headmistress (according to Taylor Swift) is going to be producing a show on NBC that covers the fictional (are they though…?) cat fights of the modeling world in the 80s.
The 80s birthed the original “Supermodel”, where the million dollar faces gracing the runways were given celeb status of their own. Cindy Crawford, Brooke Shields, Christine Brinkley, Iman, Elle Macpherson, Carol Alt and more paved the way for the supermodel phenomenon that was to follow.
Now 49-years-old, Crawford will not be appearing in the show – tentatively titled Icon – but will be producing it alongside Anne Heche and James Tupper. It will reportedly be a made up story based on the “Model Wars” between Ford Modeling Agency and Elite Model Management back in the 80s, when the latter opened on the formers home turf of New York, and Ford responded by filing a $10million lawsuit saying that Elite was stealing their models.
