It might not feel like it just yet, but we’re in a hot girl summer szn, and it’s about to get even hotter. Why? Because the patron saint of the holiday season, Megan Thee Stallion, has just become the star of the new Coach x BAPE collab campaign.
The classic American brand has teamed up with cult Japanese streetwear pioneers for a celebration of both company’s home cities. Championing the shared attitudes and optimistic energy of both New York and Tokyo, the collection is due to be released later this month, with the campaign imagery dropping today. Expect tees, leather goods, footwear, accessories and a new limited edition pattern that ties the pieces together, merging Coach’s iconic signature with BAPE’s APE HEAD logo.
Megan stars alongside rapper (and boyfriend of Naomi Osaka) Cordae, and Japanese model Kōki — plus a very adorable puppy — photographed by Sandy Kim. Alongside the imagery by Sandy, the campaign features conversation with Meg and the rest of the cast discussing their creative processes and how they express their attitudes and personalities through fashion.
