I Saw The TV Glow director Jane Schoenbrun says her next film will be a queer horror. At a recent Q&A, Schoenbrun described the film, titled Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, as “Portrait of a Lady on Fire set in a Friday the 13th sequel.” If this hasn’t already immediately piqued your interest, the film, as Schoenbrun previously told Filmmaker Magazine, is “all about sex.” Ding, ding and ding.
Balenciaga just opened a gigantic store in China. The brand’s biggest store yet, the four story building in Beijing’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun complex spans a whopping 13,000 square-feet. The store will sell the their latest men and women’s RTW apparel, jewellery, bags, shoes and accessories, as well as an exclusive line of oversized “Metalheads” T-shirts. Moreover, the shop is complete with an archive exhibit of both Denma’s and Cristóbal Balenciaga’s designs.

MSCHF put a very recognisable “Famous Mouse” on an ancient Greek sculpture. Back in 2021, the disruptive fashion collective began selling tokens that promised a “Famous Mouse” artwork at $100 a pop with one small catch – buyers would have to wait until 2024 to redeem their token. For those curious enough (and with enough disposable income) to purchase it, the time has come to find out what the tokens are actually good for. As promised, MSCHF have delivered a very famous – and very cursed – mouse in a reimagined version of Laocoön and His Sons. The need to wait three years? Walt Disney’s 1928 rendering of Mickey Mouse is now, finally, in the public domain.
The giant spider sculpture by Louise Bourgeois is returning to Tate Modern. To celebrate the London gallery’s 25th anniversary, it’s launching a new collection of recent and historic acquisitions – with Bourgeois’s 30-foot creature as the centre piece in the Turbine Hall. Titled Maman, the stainless steel sculpture is a haunting ode to motherhood. You can see it, along with the rest of the 25th anniversary collection, at the Tate Modern from 9 May 2025.

Mikey Madison spoke to Pamela Anderson about Anora‘s sex scenes. In their recent interview for Variety‘s Actors on Actors series, Anderson asked Madison about whether director Sean Baker used an intimacy coordinator for the film’s sex scenes. Turns out, he didn’t. But “it was a choice that I made,” Madison, who plays the stripper and sex worker Ani said. “The filmmakers offered me [one]… I had seen Sean’s films and know his dedication to authenticity. I was ready for it. As an actress, I approached it as a job.”
Sofia Coppola has launched a publishing imprint. After the success of her monograph Archive, which was published by Mack Books, the filmmaker has teamed up with the publishing company on her very own imprint, Important Flowers. The imprint’s first title, a book of photos by Corrine Day from the set of The Virgin Suicides, will be published in April. It’ll be followed by Chanel Haute Couture, a 450 page visual archive of the house’s history, in September.
A bible for The Shining heads. Created over the course of a decade, Taschen’s Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining is made up of exclusive BTS photos from the film’s set, interviews with cast and crew, concept art and more. It spans a whopping 1,396 pages. Moreover, the special edition features text from J.W. Rinzler and Steven Spielberg, who chronicle the making of the cult classic and offer new perspectives on it.
We may be getting not one, but two Luigi Mangione documentaries. The murder trial hasn’t even begun yet and two acclaimed filmmakers are said to be working on documentaries on the case that birthed a thousand thirst tweets. First is Oscar-winning Alex Gibney (Going Clear); the second is Robert Morse (known for Netflix’s Amanda Knox). The devil works hard, but true crime documentary makers work harder.
