Sarcasm and crop tops — what more could you want? With their 800k Instagram followers — plus 31.5k more for their office dog, Nightmare — LA label UNIF have a cult-like following the world over, but up until today there was nowhere to actually buy their gear in the UK. Fortunately Selfridges have stepped in to bring UNIF’s awesome blend of sporty 70s crop tops, 90s grunge knitwear, skater skirts and ripped jeans to their stores in Manchester and Birmingham, as well as online, launching today.

Designers Eric Espinoza, a former Hollywood DJ, and Christina Lai, an old school LA fashion blogger, launched UNIF after growing bored of mainstream fashion in 2004, preferring a low key DIY aesthetic inspired by LA’s dual party scenes of EDM raves and basement grunge/metal/punk gigs. Think black studded platform boots and neon rainbow tees, with pretty lol slogans like autumn/winter 15 season fave, “Let’s Not”.
