Dean Lyon is a British DJ, producer, radio host, label manager and party-thrower who’s recently signed to The Pop Manifesto‘s in house record label TPM. To celebrate, he’s made i-D a smooth mix featuring “several UK Funky styles: soulful and tribal, weighty house anthems, dirty drum trax and eerie bass riddims.” Recorded in the early hours of a Sunday morning while reflecting on the recent re-launch of his ‘Love Krush’ party, the mix is a compilation of tech-y cuts, tropical beats and some new tracks, fresh from the lab, which are planned for release at the start of 2017.
According to Dean, “This one’s for the late night tribal skankers, the two-steppers and the Bogle crew. It’s for the after party dons still necking down double brandy and cokes at 6am. Enjoy!”
