Devon Aoki, the girl with the face of a goddess, made a triumphant and unexpected return to the catwalk this weekend, in an exclusive appearance at Moschino’s MADE LA show for her old friend Jeremy Scott.
“Me and Jeremy,” the iconic beauty captioned an Instagram snap of them on the runway. “I am so proud of you and this beautiful collection and thank you for honoring me and having me walk the runway once again…. 20 years after my first show @Moschino #Moschino #DTLA #bff
“
Aoki made her catwalk debut at just 13 years old for Jeremy Scott, and while most major fashion cities now consider that much too young, it is poetic that the icon of 90s modelling chose to make a glorious return for the same designer all these years later. “If I could be in any show, it would have to be Jeremy’s to come back to,” the model turned actor told Vogue. “It’s nothing but love and nothing but a joy to be working with him. You saw his line-up — everyone loves him. People will travel far for him”.
“I cannot express in words how joyful [tonight] is,” Scott adds. “[Devon] started her runway career with me at 13, she’s one of my best friends. My baby muse forever, the most beautiful woman in the world to me. To have her with me on the runway after [almost] a decade not doing shows was such an honor and such a joy. When we were walking out together, my heart was so full of love.”
