For the better part of a week, the internet has played detective trying to work our whether or not Beyoncé and Jay Z‘s twins have arrived. While the couple have made no official announcement, there have been plenty of hints: her security was spotted loading two baby seats into a van, Jay skipped an appearance at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards, and LA’s exclusive Cedars-Sinai hospital has seen a noticeable increase in security. Much has also been made of a woman photographed entering the building carrying two balloons that read “Baby Girl” and “Baby Boy” with a card to “B & J.”

But now it appears that Beyonce’s dad has finally confirmed the birth, tweeting: “They’re here! #beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday” along with a picture of a very dad appropriate e-card. While short tweet has drawn of a flurry of excitement and congratulations, not all members of the Beyhive were stoked with the way the news broke; many are urging him to delete the post to allow the famous couple to announce the births in their own time. Also, knowing Bey, she probably as some impressive high-art reveal.
So much of the Lemonade star’s life seems to take place on a totally separate plane of reality, it’s kind of nice to know even legends have to deal with their parents occasionally spilling their business.
