Everyone’s favorite Canadian, Toronto’s very own 6 God, is at large in New York. This Sunday, his “Summer Sixteen” pop-up shop on the Bowery (a joint venture with Future) had fans wrapped around the block waiting to get their hands on new merch. And then, last night, he swooped into Brooklyn for a guest appearance at Mad Decent Block Party. Today, who knows where the king of cozy might show face in NYC.
DJ Boi-1da brought Drake out as a surprise guest for three songs during his set at Coney Island’s MCU Park last night. The two performed “Jumpman,” “Back To Back,” and Drake’s new song with DJ Khaled, “For Free.” Drake has been in New York to support his “Summer Sixteen” tour alongside Future, and just finished four shows at Madison Square Garden. With about a week before his next scheduled appearance in Philly on August 13, Champagne Papi could literally be anywhere. So NYC fans, keep an eye out for more surprise appearances. And until he’s spotted again, check out some of the fan footage from MDBP below.
