Dungeon Meat is comprised of two of the scene’s finest underground producers and DJs, Tristan de Cunha and Brawther. With over 30 years in the game between them, they truly are dons and the music really speaks for itself.

Their mission statement, “to slay all the ploddy, medium rare, diluted fischer price house music… It’s objective is to bring the finest club cuts designed to detonate dancefloors.” Their 2013 debut on Jeremy Underground’s My Love Is Underground imprint was a serious piece of wax that done serious damage to many, many dance floors across the world. Their tunes really do come from the depths of the dungeon and carry unprecedented weight that does not mess around while at the same time, they are not a pair that take themselves too seriously.

Quality house music presides over everything and they aim to bring together all the movers, voguers, shakers, queens, misfits, vibers, smilers, party people and all the freaky people that make the beauty in the world for one huge party this weekend. Tomorrow night in East London’s Village Underground will see the Dungeon Meat takeover with Gideön and parisan house don Point G and we can guarantee you that it will be a night not to be missed.

In anticipation for the night, the boys have put together this huge exclusive mix for i-D. Head here for tickets and info but now, laced with nothing but vibes, press play on this exclusive mix.

Music to shift your mood from staying in to staying up all night…
Larry de Kat, A Funky Introduction. Bit of shameless self promo but hey… It’s one of those tracks that puts a twinkle in your toes.

    Music for emotional goodbyes…
Gloria Ann Taylor, Deep Inside Of You might bring a bit of tear to ones eye for a goodbye ….

Music to kiss and make up to…
Al Green, Love n Happiness. That’s what it’s all about isn’t it ?

Music to heal a broken heart…
Anything by Sade. her voice always soothes the pain.

    Music to get high to…
Well it really depends on the high but i’d say Bobby Rush, Mary Jane would be a good place to start off.

Music to change your night from mediocre to magnificent…
Something to lift the spirit and get a groove on to… War, Good Good Feelin’

Music to take a long drive to…
Manuel Gottschling, E2 – E4. Clocking in at just under an hour for one song you should be able to clock up a fair few miles listening to it.

Music to walk down the aisle to…
Raphael Sadiq, Sky’s the Limit (Yam who? Unreleased Mix) should set the tone nicely and the lyrics fit nicely with the occasion.

Music you’d like played at your funeral…
Soul II Soul, Keep On Moving… From one of the greatest albums ever. It’d be a message to the people left behind.

    Music to have sex to…
Well they say sex is like music… some like it hard and banging and others like it soft n tender. Gabba all the way for us.

Music to celebrate your birthday to…
Gotta be Stevie Wonder – Happy Birthday …. everyone can sing along to the chorus.

Music guaranteed to give you serious swagger…

Music to make even the wall flowers dance…
It’d have to be something that pulls them out of their shyness giving them permission to be themselves and have a good time, like Sly & The Family Stone, Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)

Music to play at the afterparty when it’s 6am and the sun is beginning to rise…
Don Carlos, Alone (Paradise Mix) is one of the ultimate sunrise house records in our opinion.

Music that could put even an insomniac to sleep…
Solfeggio, frequencies 432hz should work at making those eyelids heavy.
