edie campbell wants more inspiring activism in 2018

The outspoken model, who wrote an open letter to the fashion industry about its abuse problem earlier this year, can't wait to see more change in the new year.

2017 has been a landmark year for vocal activism against sexual abuse across a number of different industries, and model and i-D cover star Edie Campbell has been leading the charge for change in fashion.

2016 saw Campbell take a step back from modelling to tend to her beloved horses (she’s an experienced showjumper!) and focus on her clothing line, Itchy Scratchy Patchy, but 2017 saw her return with a bang. Not only has she graced numerous campaigns, appeared on various catwalks and the pages of our special Tim Walker issue in 2017, she also penned an open letter to the fashion industry in which she asked everyone to reflect on the culture that allowed these abuses to happen in the first place.

Particularly inspired by Ronan Farrow and the women who spoke out against Harvey Weinstein, in 2018 Campbell can’t wait for more women and men to rise up, speak out and take no shit. Be good, be kind, and don’t be silenced!
