From today at New York’s Milk Gallery, the School of Visual Arts will be presenting the MPS Fashion Photography 2014 Graduate exhibition, co-curated by Edward Enninful (W Magazine) and Jimmy Moffatt (Art + Commerce). There will be work by emerging photographers including Boom Boom Bryan, Manabu Fukuhara, Michael Groeger and Zane Zhou.
On 24th January at 2pm, there will be a panel discussion called “Where Are We Now, Fashion Photography In An Era of Innovation?” The panel will be hosted by photographer Ivan Shaw and will include Moffat, Shelley Fox (Professor of Fashion at Parsons) and Paul Bevan (London College of Fashion).
The MPS Graduate Fashion Photography department is an intensive one-year degree program offering practising photographers the opportunity to advance their work under the guidance of photographers, editors, creative directors and digital retouchers at the forefront of fashion today. Bridging the gap between “high” and “low” culture, commercial and fine art photography and still and moving images, the program is dedicated to exploiting the full potential of fashion photography as a platform for invention, creativity and subversion.
23rd January until 30th January.
