It seems like designers are playing a game of musical chairs this week. The music of fashion week has stopped and they’re settling down elsewhere, making for exciting times all round. Following the news that designer Peter Dundas would be leaving Pucci for his former label, Roberto Cavalli, it has been announced that 37-year-old Massimo Giorgetti will be taking his place at the helm. As founder and creative director of MSGM, Giorgetti will hold both roles, splitting time between the two labels and Milan and Florence respectively. Emilio Pucci seems very content with his new recruit, releasing a statement in which he proudly comments that he “embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity of a new breed of designers”.
