This morning the V&A has announced an extra 50,000 tickets will go on sale today to help with demand. The initial 30,000 tickets in late 2014 sold out in record time for the V&A and sales came from countries far and wide. Kenya, New Zealand, Mexico and Lebanon, it seems fans from across the globe will be travelling to the UK for a glimpse at the iconic exhibition.
Savage Beauty will now close on 2 August 2015, with additional early morning and evening slots made available to provide as many opportunities as possible for die-hard visitors and fans to see the exhibition. If you miss out on this newly released batch, not to worry, as every day during its run 200 tickets will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Martin Roth, Director of the V&A, said: “With just two months to go, we are seeing an unprecedented demand for Savage Beauty but we also wanted to reassure people that there are still tickets available. We are committed to providing access to as many as possible during its 20-week run and so pleased to now offer many more opportunities to see this magnificent show in London.”
Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, in partnership with Swarovski, supported by American Express, with thanks to M∙A∙C Cosmetics and made possible with the co-operation of Alexander McQueen, runs from 14 March – 2 August 2015.
