Palace is on a roll right now. Fresh off the back of the skate lords’ ICA exhibition and book release with iconic photographer Alasdair McLellan — which documented the South London house that gave the brand its name: a ramshackle dwelling in Lambeth so un-palatial it got the nickname “The Palace” — the brand is venturing into publishing itself with Palace Skateboard Magazine #1. The magazine was shot entirely by cult American skate photographer Mike O’Meally and features PWBC superstar Lucien Clarke on its cover.
According to the blurb on Palace’s Instagram account, it will feature: hi-grade dumb captions, zero stinky deodorant adverts, no skatepark sequences of 7-year-old kids doing inverts. It will be exciting, luxurious, and collectible. All of which we can attest to, as we’ve got a little sneaky preview of the thing, courtesy of Palace. Take a look right now, then go to the Palace store in London this Saturday to snag your copy.
