Paris-born London-based Faustine is scoring a whole lot of love for her detailed denim womenswear, winning support from Cotton USA this season alongside her NEWGEN presentation sponsorship. For those not familiar with Cotton USA, their award is now entering its twelfth year and has previously supported the likes of Richard Nicholl, Meadham Kirchhoff, PPQ and Lucas Nacimento. Faustine makes every single design by hand – spinning, dyeing and weaving her own fabric using a traditional handloom in her East London studio. She focuses on reproducing iconic pieces, because, as she explains on her blog, “my version of luxury is somebody spending time making something special just for me.” It is this, along with her stunning designs and commitment to creating long-lasting garments that makes her the ideal partner for Cotton USA, who also pride themselves on quality. With last season’s collection showcasing deep indigo mohair jeans and beautiful tapestry denim, look out for Faustine’s texture party at London Fashion Week and you’ll feel anything but blue.
