My Life In 1.000.000 Frames is a visual project in which actress and artist Candice Drouet collects images from every movie she’s seen and splits them up into themes. So far, she’s produced cuts on loneliness and love, movie posters and, inevitably, Wes Anderson. Now, following the retirement of Hayao Miyazaki and the release of When Marnie Was There (reportedly the last Studio Ghibli movie for some time), we have this: a supercut of the great Japanese animation house’s most poignant moments. Featuring clips from Ponyo, Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso, and Spirited Away (music from which accompanies the cut), it offers a welcome trip down memory lane. Press play and pay tribute.
