Already sold on the basis that headliners would include i-D fave Jorja Smith and local hero Skepta – who grew up on the nearby Meridian Walk Estate – this next lot of Field Day bookings are an awesome bonus. Yep, earlier today it was announced that acts including Death Grips, Flohio, Mahalia, Kojey Radical and Homeshake would be joining the Field Day 2019 line-up. Previously confirmed performing at the 7-8 June festival include Earl Sweatshirt, Pusha T, Octavian, Bonobo and Jungle.
For the first year, Field Day festivities will be later and greater than ever before; with an on-site late night 7,500 capacity warehouse party hosted by Printworks ending at 3am, making it the latest running London festival out there. George FitzGerald, Modeselektor, Nocturnal Sunshine, and HAAi are among the first announced acts playing through the night.
“I’m thrilled to bring back the mighty Death Grips to Field Day,” says Field Day co-founder Tom Baker. “They are an absolute force of nature and truly mind-bendingly brilliant live. They’re playing alongside some of the hottest and most exciting new acts around with Celeste and Charlotte Adigéry both playing Field Day for the first time. Also super excited about Femi Kuti and Kojey Radical joining such an exciting and diverse bill”. Us too!
