fka twigs launches dream merchandise

A fruit machine fan heaven of archive tour posters, video still print T-shirts and hand-customised flight jackets.

Merch-wise, FKA Twigs was never going to shove her album cover on a T-shirt and have done with it. For her just-launched store, the artist has teamed up with a range of artists, designers and illustrators to translate her audio-visual archive into fabric form.

Illustrator Lavonnia Brown has recreated Twigs instantly-recognisable face-outline on a white T-shirt, and digital artist Ignasi Monreal has used a still from the Papi Pacify video for a heat-pressed black T-shirt. Monreal also created the prints for some of the most exciting products: the orange-lined MA-1 flight jackets, customised and tailored by Leo Velasquz and Angel Rodriguez II, one of which has hand appliqued swarovski crystal streams of tears. There are also tour posters from London and New York, and of course her music in all formats.

Twigs posted on her instagram to say, “go to my website fkatwi.gs to see the merchandise and if you get anything send me photos of you wearing it using the hashtag #FKAme so i can post my favourites on my tumblr <3”.
