    flamingos flock in gucci’s pre-fall 16 campaign

Glen Luchford and Jane How team up with some feathered friends to bring Alessandro Michele's new whimsical collection to life.

Shot by Glen Luchford and styled by Jane How, Gucci’s pre-fall 16 campaign transports us to an exotic world filled with bizarre and eccentric creatures. Set in a glass-domed aviary — where wild plants grow in amongst stacks of old books and tropical birds wander freely across patterned rugs — the campaign perfectly captures Alessandro Michele’s taste for the whimsical and flare for theatrics. It also chimes in with the brand’s exquisite new botanical prints, modeled here by a bevy of bright young things (including model of the moment, Lia Pavlova, who walked the most shows this season). An exploration of “youth, curiosity and liberation,” it’s one of the brand’s most alluring yet!
