Frank Ocean models the Marc Jacobs x Stray Rats capsule collection

The ratty collab celebrates both Lunar New Year and the designer's 'Stinky Rat' line from the early 00s.

Marc Jacobs has launched a new collab just in time for Lunar New Year on January 25, and the campaign stars some very special guests. We’re not only talking about Frank Ocean (who was recently named the new face of Prada), Nathalie Nguyen, and Alison Boregard, but the furry, four-legged friends seen alongside them. Gucci may have let horses roam Los Angeles for their ss20 campaign, but after all it is the year of the rat, so naturally, Marc Jacobs teamed up with Stray Rats for this especially grungy, rodent-inspired capsule.

“To celebrate the Year of the Rat, we collaborated with Miami/NYC-based brand Stray Rats on a Lunar New Year capsule,” the designer said on Instagram. “The graphics pay homage to Marc Jacobs’ line “Stinky Rat” from the early 00s.”

The capsule collection features vibrant striped knitwear adorned with rat silhouettes, zipped logo hoodies, and “ratgirl” graphic T-shirts. The accessory of choice? Rats! IRL rats sitting atop shoulders or cradled like babies, as seen in the Collier Schorr-photographed campaign below. The Marc Jacobs x Stray Kids collab is available both in-store and online, though in limited quantities.
