After a successful collaboration with Vans last season, Gosha Rubchinskiy is working with the brand again on an exclusive collection for Dover Street Market. He’s reworked the iconic Slip-On sneaker in two colorways, each featuring a cotton canvas upper with a rising sun graphic all-over the toe box and heel. The theme of the collaboration was Arctica.
Russia, always a main influence in Gosha’s work, is represented this season through his focus on the Pomors, an ethnic minority from Northern Russia. An art student & skater friend of Gosha’s, Severodvinsk, of Pomors descent, created the print, a hieroglyph-like sun, simple yet perennial.
