This Tuesday saw Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Edie Campbell and co stalk the hallways of the stunning Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg for the Chanel Métiers d’Art. But while the show enchanted on the outside, we wandered the corridors backstage to find the people behind the beauty. Personally selected by Karl Lagerfeld, make-up artist Tom Pecheaux created the shimmering gold eyelids, deep sockets and fresh skin of the models, while Sam McKnight was on hair duty as usual, making it slicked back and neat on top, loose and pretty at the ends.
So what does a 19th century Austrian empress use to primp and prime to royal perfection? Prep the skin with products from the Hydra Beauty range and try the Chanel eye shadow palette, Les 4 Ombres in “Tissé Riviera” (N°224) for that champagne sheen. And for the lips? Rouge Coco Baume in “Julia” (N°404) or “Cécile” (N°432) should do the trick.
As ever, hair genius Sam McKnight brought the fun factor with braided headphones and diamond barrettes fit only for the chicest of queens.
