Taking the designer and muse motif once more as her central theme, photographer and musician Ami Sioux is back with a third edition of The Zine Nº Series, a personal project dedicated to unique pairings of designer and muses that have influenced her vision of women throughout her work as a photographer. So far, the series has seen her work with some of the finest names in fashion, from Caroline de Maigret and Chanel in issue one to Langley Fox and David Michael in issue two.
This time around, Ami has carefully selected Rosetta Getty as designer and American filmmaker Gia Coppola as muse. For Ami, Rosetta represents a new avant-garde within fashion, one that has its roots within American codes and yet is also extremely international. Her selection of her archive collection can be seen modelled by Gia, in the 35 page editorial, which Ami shot herself throughout the course of a day spent at LA’s iconic Chateau Marmont.
Having worked as a photographer in New York, Berlin, Paris and Tokyo since the 90s, Ami currently splits her time between LA and Paris. A long time contributor to i-D, she’s celebrated for her distinct style and intimate approach.
